Feats On Seats
Collaboration between Dani Burbrook & Suzanne Verrall. This project is printed on stickers and placed in and around public transport infrastructure in Adelaide, Melbourne & Brisbane. The QR code links to "The Interventionists" website, which Suzanne and I set up as a vehicle for interaction with a variety of public realm projects we have done together. We are surrounded by SIGNS telling us what we can’t do. Like most rules of behaviour, public transport regulations exist for the comfort and safety of passengers. These signs and symbols everywhere are necessary as people forget that we share the planet and that the choices we make impact upon other people. Unfortunately this can start to feel as if we are surrounded by negative messages. Feats on Seats are encouraging messages – playful, irreverent and possibly entirely impractical. |
